We’re thrilled to welcome Paul to Team Hansgrohe for the 2012 Absa Cape Epic. He’ll be digging in behind the scenes each day, capturing the pain, raw emotion and the dirt on mountain bikers’ faces. Especially the dirt. Paul has been tasked to snap the dirtiest mountain bikers, so even if you can’t be the best at the Absa Cape Epic, you could claim to be the dirtiest.
Paul has covered a variety of outdoor, multi-day and endurance events as a photographer and is no stranger to gruelling races himself, having competed in his fair share of Xterras and Ironman events.
Originally from South Africa, Paul spent several years living and working in the UK and Europe. During this time his passion for travel combined with an interest in photography resulted in a vast portfolio of images from all around the world. He has a keen eye for detail but we love the way he interacts with people to get the best shot.
Paul uses a variety of photographic techniques which lets him cross over from portraiture to editorial and sports to stills photography. His ultimate aim is to cover both the Tour De France and Olympics. Watch this space.
